2012 Wainman Hawaii Kite SurfboardsWainman Hawaii has just released their new kite surfboards for the 2012-2013 season, and they look awesome! New surfboard designer (Sean Ordonez), new sizes, and new color schemes make for a great collection of surfboards. No matter what your kitesurfing style, they have you covered with three models of Wainman Hawaii surfboards – the Magnum, Passport, and Gambler. Whether you are looking for high-speed carves, small surf shredding, or all around use, the multiple choice of shape and size will equip your quiver.

Air Padre has picked up many of the new 2012 Wainman Hawaii surfboards, after the South Padre Island Kite Round-Up, both new in the shop and used in the demo fleet. Stop by to try out these awesome new boards. Our personal favorite is the classic Magnum 6’0, which is best for high speed/ large wave shredding with a powerful thruster tail fin configuration. Not to mention the kickass graphics details.

2012 Wainman Hawaii Magnum Surfboard – 5’7, 5’10, 6’0, 6’2

2012 Wainman Hawaii Magnum 6'0The 2012 Wainman Hawaii Magnum surfboard comes directly from the classic gunny shape with a thruster fin set up. Built for speed and power, the Magnum is meant to be ridden farther back over the grippy fins, and with more nose rocker than the other two board shapes, it takes on steeper, heavier, and pitching waves with style and poise. If you are into power bottom turns and hacking top turns, the Magnum is the board for you. It comes available in 4 sizes: 5’7″, 5’10″, 6’0″, and 6’2″.

2012 Wainman Hawaii Gambler Surfboard – 5’7, 5’10

2012 Wainm Hawaii Gambler 5'10The 2012 Wainman Hawaii Gambler surfboard is the all-around surfboard shape, with a wider nose, semi-flat rocker line, and quad-fin setup. The 3D contoured bottom goes from double concave under your front foot to single over the tail, increasing grip in the surf. Built tough, the Gambler also has additional layers of carbon along the rails and under the pads area. If you are looking for a versatile surfboard in all conditions small to large, the Gambler is a great choice.

2012 Wainman Hawaii Passport Surfboard – 5’8, 5’11

2012 Wainman Hawaii Passport 5'11The 2012 Wainman Hawaii Passport surfboard is designed for dedicated strapless wave riding. Made from a shortboard surfer’s point of view, the Passport is usually ridden 4-5 inches shorter, which is made up by more width in the nose. A flattest rocker of all the Wainman boards makes for early and slow planning, along with the quad-fin set up that makes for more upwind ability. All of which allows you to generate speed quickly and utilize the whole board area in smaller surf or lighter wind conditions. The Passport comes in two sizes: the 5’8″ and the 5’11″.
